The Centre has its own state of the art, alarmed, access restricted, air-conditioned pharmacy for the secure storage of all study medication. Each client is allocated their own individual locked storage area. The temperature data is electronically recorded and made available for clients. The temperature is controlled and monitored between 15-25°C (but can be adjusted for a specific drug if required). An alarm is activated if the temperature goes out of range, so that the integrity of the study medication is not put at risk. The Pharmacy also houses an alarmed cold drug storage area and controlled drugs cabinets.

The Surrey CRC also has a legal agreement with the Royal Surrey County Hospital to undertake the aseptic manufacturing of gene therapy products.
