Surrey CTU

The Surrey Clinical Trials Unit was established to provide the experience, expertise and infrastructure to develop, organise and manage high quality, multi-centre, randomised interventional trials across local NHS priority areas.

Our vision is to become a registered Clinical Trials Unit working in partnership with investigators to deliver high quality trials that directly influence clinical practice.

Surrey CTU is a formal partnership between the University of Surrey and Royal Surrey County Hospital NHS Foundation Trust (RSCH) and has a strong working relationship with Surrey Health Partners, the Kent Surrey Sussex Academic Health Science Network (KSS AHSN) and Brighton and Sussex Clinical Trials Unit.

Surrey CTU encompasses the Surrey arm of the NIHR Research Design Service (RDS) South East and together we offer support and advice on funding applications and all aspects of study design, methodology and management.

Surrey CTU is currently being mentored by Southampton CTU (http://www.southampton.ac.uk)  with the aim to become a registered CTU in 2015 as part of the UK Clinical Research Collaboration CTU Network (http://www.ukcrc-ctu.org.uk/).
