Overnight Audio-Video Monitoring of Sleep Behaviour in the Home Environment

Information

I am Sara Mahvash Mohammadi studying PhD at CVSSP. As part of my PhD research, I would like to recruit local people including University of Surrey students and staff to come and take part in our experiment.
We are looking for volunteers to help us in a sleep study. Participants will be asked to answer several questionnaires, wear an Actigraphy watch, and be prepared to be monitored by audio visual and wearable sensors for three nights in their home environment. Please bear in mind that only the research team will have access to the audio and video data. The aim of this work is to develop a portable system that can be used at home to diagnose sleep disorders. We will use artificial intelligence (AI) to analyse the audio-visual data to develop a system for measuring and characterising night time sleep behaviour.
You will be required to take part in this experiment for three nights, held at your own home. The whole process will take around 10 hours for each volunteer per night (taking place from July  - August 2019 dates and time negotiable).
You will be given £100 per night in recognition of participating in this study. If you are interested in participating, I would be delighted to hear from you.
The study has been reviewed and given a favourable ethical opinion by the University of Surrey Ethics Committee.
Thank you
Sara
