Surrey Clinical Research Centre- Investigation into Seasonal Changes in Human Immune Function
This study aims to characterise seasonal and daily rhythms in the immune system which could allow the identification of new treatment plans including favourable times for vaccinations.
The Surrey Principal Investigator for this study is Professor Debra Skene.
Healthy adults between 18 and 35 years old
Females of child bearing potential must be on a hormonal contraceptive (e.g. combined oral contraceptive pill, contraceptive implant, IUS, progesterone only pill).
Be white and have lived in in the United Kingdom, Ireland or continental Europe for the majority of your life
Not working rotating or night shifts
Agree to keep a constant sleep/wake cycle, with 6-9-hours in bed, as agreed with the research team, and report it.
Have a BMI of 19 to 28kg/m2.
